Ein China Restaurant wie es überall in der Welt stehen könnte – nur nicht hier – ein Ort der Verwechslungen in dem es an falschen Hoffnungen nicht fehlt. In dem jeder willkommen ist - jeder der an die Versprechungen, die dort gemacht werden, glaubt.

Laia Fabre und Thomas Kasebacher installierten für das Real Deal Festival ein China Restaurant – ein Film Set einerseits und eine exakte Kopie andererseits. Sie arbeiten mit der Idee des Ready Mades und der Kopie und produzieren nebenbei herausragend Köstliches in ihrer Garküche.

EXTREMO ORIENTE is a place of deception where nothing seems as it is. A Chinese restaurant like any Chinese restaurant anywhere around the world - just not situated here - a place of confusion where false hopes are abundant. A place where everyone is welcome - everyone is welcome to believe in the false promises made there.

Laia Fabre and Thomas Kasebacher install a Chinese Restaurant - a film set and an exact copy - they work with the idea of the ready-made and the copy and produce delicious Dim Sum in their cookshop.
